A small boat for the “Mariner” district in Groesbeek.

Proposal commissioned by the municipality Groesbeek. This proposal regards placing a small boat on the square next to the ‘Trompstraat’ in the district ‘Herwendaal.’ The boat lies in the square, waiting for rain to fall. When it does, the water will flow from the adjacent roofs through a canal system to the small dry basin where the boat lies. This basin fills with water and gently lifts the boat upright so it can float for some time.  People often come outside to witness this ephemeral event. After a while the water seeps back in the soil and the boat is grounded once again.
